I posted most of these pictures on facebook, but I thought I would place a few extras here along with the story behind the pictures. Like lots of girls, my daughter loves pink. Her room is different shades of pink and she likes to wear pink. A few months ago, I found out that Pinkalicious was coming to our downtown theater. I took Megan with me to get the tickets.
She had never read the book Pinkalicious so she really didn't have a clue. In fact, she even asked to go home while I was purchasing the tickets because we had waited in line so long. Within a couple of weeks, I got her the book. Then came the long wait. It seemed like almost every week she would ask if it was time for our date night.
The day finally came. After picking her up at the house and her mom finished taking pictures, we left for the flower shop. Instead of buying her flowers, I decided that a three year old, who is almost four, would think it would be way more fun to pick her own flowers. Of course, she picked pink and purple flowers.
She requested either Burger King or Bob Evans because they have the best mac and cheese (according to Megan). Bob Evans won out.
Our food finally arrived. I decided to order breakfast. It is hard to mess that up, and you can get a pretty good breakfast at Bob Evans.
After each bite, it seemed that Megan would ask me if it was time for the show.
Now besides buying her gifts, the way to Megan's heart is chocolate and ice cream. As soon as we sat down at our table, she spotted the dessert and picked out the Oreo ice cream pie.
We had to get the dessert. I was lucky that I was able to enjoy a few bites.
Next we arrived at the Midland.
We got our picture by the guy out front.
We weren't allowed to take pictures during the show, but I had my camera ready at the end.
I was able to talk to the guy who runs the Midland after the show. I met him a few months ago in a class I am taking. He was glad to get the last picture of us before we left.
Once we were home, we ended the night with pink cupcakes. What a date!
